Mindy Peterson is a Podcast Host (Enhance Life with Music) and Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) who has taught private piano lessons since 1991 to students ages kindergarten to adult, in Michigan and Minnesota. In addition to learning to read music, Mindy’s students learn and develop skills in music theory, sight-reading, aural awareness (ear training), and technique. Mindy is the Arts Advocacy Chair of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA); on the Board of West Suburban Music Teachers Association (WSMTA); and a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), National Federation of Music Clubs, and Chain of Lakes Music Club.
Piano lessons are an investment in musical literacy that impart a multitude of benefits, providing a vehicle to express emotions, enhancing the learning process in other subject areas, and teaching discipline and performance skills. Music is a language, science, art, service, and life enhancer! Mindy’s students include contest-winners as well as students who simply study music for their own enjoyment.
