Guest
My guest today is joining me from New York City. Kaila Mullady is the first and only two-time winner of the Beatbox Battle World Championship. She’s won numerous other championships and performs all over the world, infusing beatboxing, singing, rapping, and theater to push the boundaries of creativity and show just what the human instrument is capable of. Kaila was tapped to perform in Lin Manuel Miranda’s Broadway Comedy Show, “Freestyle Love Supreme.” In addition to performing, Kaila is an in-demand speaker; has developed beatboxing as a tool for speech therapy; and advances her work and research through her educational company, The Academy of Noise.
